Students attend class every week and perform in our year-end recital May 30 & 31, 2026. Additional highlights include performances in our annual Wintersong December concert. These classes are well suited for students who enjoy dance on a recreational basis or performers looking for an introduction to the performing arts.
Our recreational and performance classes are divided by age.

Saskatoon Classes - Recreational
Musical Theatre combines character with voice and dance to create a triple threat artist. Students work with vocal coaches, choreographers, and acting coaches. Our professional staff excels in the art of musical theatre and performance, and our programming is meant to provide all students with a positive, confidence-building experience.
We have FOUR options for students interested in Musical Theatre.
Recreational Programs from preschool to adult – Fun! Positive! Creative!
Competitive Program – A more demanding dance program with a mandatory ballet and/or jazz class element.
Production Classes - These are theatrical plays for two student age groups, and an adult cabaret class. Please see the drama class tab for these class options.
The Saskatoon Mini Express & The Saskatoon Expressions – This program is geared to students who want to perform. Please see the Mini Express & The Expressions Page for more information about auditions and upcoming performances.
In the Recreational Musical Theatre classes, students attend a sixty-minute class, once per week. They work on movement, voice, and acting exercises. This program is a great introduction to musical theatre or is a perfect option for students who want to do musical theatre but who do not want to attend competitions. Students do not require any previous training and will work in a positive and encouraging environment. All classes take part in pictures, our Wintersong December concert, and the year-end recitals May 30 & 31, 2026, except for Creative Kids. The Creative Kids will perform in our Wintersong December concert and they will have their own spring year-end celebration.
