ABOUT US

Music. Theatre. Passion. Igniting the creative talents of young performers.

Founded in 2000 under the umbrella of the SaskExpress Theatre Company in Regina, SaskExpress Musical Theatre Studio - Saskatoon offers an array of performance, dance, drama and singing classes from beginner to advanced, for all ages. SaskExpress Musical Theatre Studio provides an inclusive, welcoming, and family friendly environment where students of all ages and levels of experience can develop a love for the performing arts. We believe that training in the performing arts encourages self-confidence, ambition, teamwork, creativity, and perseverance. We are highly invested in the growth of each of our students, and we feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of their development as both young individuals and performers. Our classes are designed so that students will develop dance, voice, drama, and musical theatre skills in a safe environment that provides encouragement and inspiration for the development of a positive self-image. To support this, we have a “no midriff policy” at the studio. Students must have their midriff covered in all class attire and costuming.

In addition to the being the home of the Saskatoon Mini Express & The Expressions, we offer both competitive and non-competitive programming for musical theatre, drama, and dance, as well as CDTA Tap and Jazz Syllabus classes, RAD Ballet examinations, and Acrobatic Arts. We have a team of dedicated instructors, who love sharing their passion for the performing arts. We are incredibly lucky that they have chosen SaskExpress as their home.  If you are looking for a top-notch triple threat performing arts program, you've come to the right place!

For our 2024 - 2025 season and 25th Anniversary we are continuing to offer classes in our Stonebridge area location.  In addition to our recreational, competitive and production classes we are home to SPARK; Saskatoon’s first performing arts preschool program.
