SaskExpress Musical Theatre Studio Regina is looking for positive, high energy, motivated, and passionate instructors to join our team for the upcoming 2025-26 season! SaskExpress has been an arts community staple for 40+ years and continues to lead the pack for competitive Musical Theatre with our knowledgeable, professional, and passionate staff!

Careers - Regina

Voice/Musical Theatre Instructors

Ideal candidates would fill spots teaching recreational and/or competitive classes in Musical Theatre and/or Private Voice, for ages 4-18.

Essential Skills:

  • Communication
  • Team player
  • Problem solving
  • Task planning and organization
  • Positive attitude/outlook
  • Training/experience in competitive or professional voice
  • Teaching storytelling through performance in all styles

Availability:

  • Approx. Monday-Thursday 4:30 - 9:30 and/or Saturdays 9-1 (45-60 min sessions)

Responsibilities (differs for each style):

  • Ability to teach using various styles and methodologies from beginner to senior level
  • Prepare lesson plans
  • Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals
  • Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Choreograph routines and select music for competitions/recital (only musical theatre)
  • Teach vocals/singing with emphasis on proper technique, anatomy, and music theory
  • Teach basic scene breakdown and character development (only musical theatre)
  • Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the songs and curriculum as needed.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage varies based on experience/certifications

Hip Hop Instructor

Ideal candidates would fill spots teaching recreational and/or competitive classes in Hip Hop for ages 4-18.

  • Training/experience in competitive or recreational hip hop dancing

Availability:

  • Approx. Monday-Thursday 4:30 - 9:30 and/or Saturdays 9-1 (45-60 min sessions)

  • Prepare lesson plans
  • Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals
  • Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement

  • Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed.

Jazz & Tap Instructors

Ideal candidates would fill spots teaching recreational and/or competitive classes in Ballet CDTA Tap & Jazz, for ages 4-18.

  • Experience in competitive or professional dancing
  • CDTA certifications
  • Teaching storytelling through performance in all styles

Availability:

  • Approx. Monday-Thursday 4:30 - 9:30 and/or Saturdays 9-1 (45-60 min sessions)

Responsibilities (differs for each style):

  • Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to senior level
  • Prepare lesson plans
  • Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals
  • Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Choreograph routines and select music for competitions/recital
  • Teach basic story telling and characters
  • Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed.

Lyrical/Contemporary Instructor

Ideal candidates would fill spots teaching recreational and/or competitive classes in Lyrical and Contemporary dance for ages 6-18.

  • Training/experience in competitive or recreational lyrical and contemporary styles
  • Musicality and emotional expression through movement

Availability:

  • Approx. Monday–Thursday 4:30 – 9:30 and/or Saturdays 9–1 (45–60 min sessions)

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to teach using various styles and methodologies from beginner to senior level
  • Prepare lesson plans
  • Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals
  • Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Choreograph routines and select music for competitions/recital
  • Emphasize artistry, technique, and storytelling through movement
  • Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed

Acro Instructor

Ideal candidates would fill spots teaching recreational and/or competitive Acro classes for ages 6-18.

Essential Skills:

  • Communication

  • Task planning and organization
  • Positive attitude/outlook
  • Training/certification in Acro instruction (Acrobatic Arts or equivalent preferred)
  • Strong understanding of flexibility, strength and tumbling progression

Availability:

  • Approx. Monday–Thursday 4:30 – 9:30 and/or Saturdays 9–1 (45–60 min sessions)

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to teach safely and effectively from beginner to advanced levels
  • Prepare lesson plans with a focus on skill progressions and injury prevention
  • Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals
  • Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement
  • Choreograph routines and integrate Acro skills into competitive choreography
  • Maintain a safe, structured learning environment with an emphasis on technique
  • Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the curriculum as needed
