SaskExpress Musical Theatre Studio Regina is looking for positive, high energy, motivated, and passionate instructors and admin to join our team for the upcoming 2023-24 season! SaskExpress has been an arts community staple for 40+ years and continues to lead the pack for competitive Musical Theatre with our knowledgeable, professional, and passionate staff!

Careers - Regina

Voice/Musical Theatre Instructors

Ideal candidates would fill spots teaching recreational and/or competitive classes in Musical Theatre and/or Private Voice, for ages 4-18.

Essential Skills:
- Communication
- Team player
- Problem solving
- Task planning and organization
- Positive attitude/outlook
- Training/experience in competitive or professional voice
- Teaching storytelling through performance in all styles

Availability:
- Approx. Monday-Thursday 4:30 - 9:30 and/or Saturdays 9-1 (45-60 min sessions)

Responsibilities (differs for each style):
- Ability to teach using various styles and methodologies from beginner to senior level
- Prepare lesson plans
- Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals
- Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement
- Choreograph routines and select music for competitions/recital (only musical theatre)
- Teach vocals/singing with emphasis on proper technique, anatomy, and music theory
- Teach basic scene breakdown and character development (only musical theatre)
- Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the songs and curriculum as needed.

Compensation:
- Hourly wage varies based on experience/certifications

Drama Instructors

Ideal candidates would fill spots teaching recreational and/or competitive classes in Musical Theatre and Drama for ages 4-18.

Essential Skills:
- Communication
- Team player
- Problem solving
- Task planning and organization
- Positive attitude/outlook
- Training/experience in competitive or professional acting
- Teaching storytelling through performance in all styles

Availability:
- Approx. Monday-Thursday 4:30 - 9:30 and/or Saturdays 9-1 (45-60 min sessions)

Ideal candidates would fill spots teaching recreational and/or competitive classes in Ballet (RAD/CDTA), Tap, Jazz, for ages 4-18.

- Positive attitude/outlook
- Experience in competitive or professional dancing
- RAD/CDTA certifications
- Teaching storytelling through performance in all styles

Availability:
- Approx. Monday-Thursday 4:30 - 9:30 and/or Saturdays 9-1 (45-60 min sessions)

Responsibilities (differs for each style):
- Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to senior level
- Prepare lesson plans
- Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals
- Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement
- Choreograph routines and select music for competitions/recital
- Teach basic story telling and characters
- Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed.

Admin Assistant

Duties include:

- Administrative duties assigned by the Studio Director.
- Data entry for registration and studio fees
- Monitoring incoming and outgoing students
- Daily reception duties such as answering phones and responding to emails
- Assisting with studio events such as photo days, competitions, and recital!
