Vocal Instructors

SaskExpress Musical Theatre Studio Saskatoon is a high-quality performing arts studio that provides opportunities for students, aged 3 to adult, to train in singing, dancing, and acting in a fun, creative, and inclusive environment. 

We are seeking passionate and skilled Vocal Instructors to join our team. The instructors will teach vocals to recreational Musical Theatre classes, ages 4-14. Candidates will enjoy working with children and be able to foster a positive learning environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and instruct lesson plans for students of different skill levels and ages, helping them develop their technique, confidence, and love for music and singing.
  • Teach vocals/singing with emphasis on proper technique, anatomy, and music theory
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their performance
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students
  • Prepare students for performances
  • Adhere to studio policies and safety guidelines

Administrative Assistant

SaskExpress Musical Theatre Studio Saskatoon is a high quality performing arts studio that provides opportunities for students, age 3 to adult, to train in singing, dancing, and acting in a fun, creative, and inclusive environment.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented part time Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our office. The position is weekdays 20 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a customer-focused attitude, providing exceptional support to both staff, students, and studio families. As the first point of contact at the front desk, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls and emails and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office area and assist with studio/building organization.
  • Data entry in our online Jackrabbit dance database
  • Processing fees (monthly fees, costume fees, competition fees, etc)
  • Manage dropbox/ studio website for communication purposes
  • Managing ticketing website for all drama/musical plays & productions
  • Collecting and organizing video orders for recitals and other theatre productions
  • Costume sorting & labelling
  • Photocopying
  • Assist with studio special events
  • Additional duties assigned by Creative Director and/or Director of Dance Development

Experience

  • Proficiency in clerical tasks, including data entry and managing phone systems.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of spreadsheet creation and word processing programs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer support skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Familiarity with dance and theatre is an advantage but not required.
