MADELYN POPIL

Instructor

Madelyn found her love for musical theatre through SaskExpress after taking a musical theatre class at 10, and later took part in the competitive program as well as jazz and hip hop. Her favourite early memories performing with the studio were with Mini Express & The Expressions. She was most recently in the studio’s 44th annual summer cast, where she fell in love with performing with the company all over again.

Madelyn is in her first year of taking psychology at the U of R and hopes to further her education in paediatric psychiatry. Maddy has been singing since before she could talk and absolutely loves to perform. She involves herself in the music and arts community here in Regina and has been awarded multiple school and community scholarships for music and acting. Madelyn has also gotten the opportunity to sing the national anthem for the Regina Pats and Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Maddy has always had a love for teaching and working with kids. She is thankful she gets to fulfil this role not only at the studio but teaching swimming lessons and volunteering at her church’s kids’ group. This is her first year working at the studio and she is super excited to be able to meet and teach aspiring performers!
